The Square Hotel Copenhagen

Square

Copenhagen is seemingly made for design tourism, and the Square is the perfect downtown hotel for travelers who need a little Arne Jacobsen in their lives—and the bright crimson Egg chairs in the lobby look positively retro next to the glowing green glass of the reception desk. The hotel takes its name from its location, on Copenhagen’s central Town Square, and is conveniently located next to the Tivoli Gardens and the Strøget, the famed pedestrian mall.

The Vase by Bleach Design

11.05_bleach_thevase_376Bleach Design, located in Marinha Grande, Portugal, is a multidisciplinary design team with projects ranging from web design and corporate identity to product development and design. The Vase by Bleach Design is made of flexible polyurethane rubber molded into a familiar vase shape. Throw this vase full of daisies at your boyfriend's head and it'll bounce right back at you. Bleach also suggests using The Vase as an anti-stress device, much like those flour-filled balloons sold at ten bucks a pop. All in all, The Vase challenges the quintessential "vase" to an existence with no discrepancies, protecting love and sentiment within its nearly indestructible shell. But really, if you want to make a scene, stick with glass because shattered glass is super dramatic. Afterwards, you can squeeze the hell out of The Vase for effective stress release.

Walter Hansel Vineyards

Hanse;

Walter Hansel was a lifelong wine enthusiast who had the vision to plant the original 250 vines in 1978. Today, Stephen, Walter's son, pursues that vision of producing world class Burgundy-style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Hansel Family Vineyards currently consists of 75 acres of grapes from ten different French and domestic clones ranging in age from 23 to 3 years. At Walter Hansel Winery, the emphasis is on low yields (a miniscule range from 1.5 to 2.7 tons/acre) for greater complexity. Since all their grapes are grown on their own property, they can exercise strict control in the vineyards, which are planted with 5 Pinot and 5 Chardonnay clones. Each clone was chosen for its specific acid and flavor variations.

Eva Solo Tea-maker

EvaSolotea

The Eva Solo Tea-maker is a complete solution to tea making. The Eva Solo design utilizes a solid metal cup that when depressed fully encases the leaves, preventing further steeping and the tea from becoming bitter. Because the elongated filter allows the leaves to extend to the bottom of the carafe, a partial pot is easily brewed. When pouring, the unique flip-top lid opens automatically with the metal lip preventing messy drips. The fabric cover (referred to as a “tea-shirt”) keeps the tea hot and accentuates the sleek lines of the glass jug as well as protects the pourer’s hand and the table from heat. The “shirt” comes in a variety of colors and materials to allow consumers to “dress” their tea maker to fit their personal style.
