GLS Landscape Architecture

GLS Landscape Architecture is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in design and construction services for institutional, public and residential landscapes that have a complex architecture and site planning component. There are six people in the firm: Gary Strang, the principal, one architect and four landscape architects. Because GLS is involved in landscape architecture and architecture construction, the firm is especially skilled at working with architects, engineers, planners and public works agencies to integrate landscape architecture with architecture, urban design design, and infrastructure. GLS also works with clients to integrate interior and exterior spaces and materials, reinforce spatial ideas with horticulural design and solve problems associated with difficult sites.
GLS has received two AIA awards and and ASLA Honor Award for Beth Israel Memorial Gardens, a 7,000 sq ft. chapel and three acre cemetery in Houston and was recently selected to be the landscape architect fdor the Divinity School of the Pacific at UC Berkeley
