The 2004  Hartford Winery Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is composed of exceptional, small block Pinot Noir vineyards located in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Estate vineyards are the primary sources for this cepage, which is comprised of selected blocks from our Ross Road Vineyard (Green Valley), our Seascape and Annapolis Vineyards (Sonoma Coast) and a handful of growers within the Russian River Valley. Rose petal, boysenberry, candied cherry and roasted allspice aromas capture the essence of this perennial contender for Pinot Noir Best Buy from the Sonoma Coast. Aromas of blackberries, boysenberry, nutmeg and smoke are followed by flavors of Bing cherries, roasted plum, cinnamon and allspice. The complex aromas and dense, sweet and juicy mouthfeel are supported by centered acidity, fine grain tannins and an intensely, complex finish.
